How to watch these videos ========================= TL;DR: you might want https://peertube.debian.social/accounts/debconf/video-channels or https://debconf-video-team.pages.debian.net/videoplayer for a somewhat more user-friendly experience watching videos. This directory contains videos recorded at various DebConfs, MiniDebConfs, and other Debian-related events. All content is sorted by year and then by the event at which it was recorded. To watch these videos, you have the following options: All videos can be watched through this site. Just click on the year, then the event name, and then the video that interests you. This option will never go away; however, as the only information given through this website is the year, event, and filename, some more metadata about the videos may be of interest. Metadata about videos is being maintained by the DebConf video team at . This archive contains metadata such as the full name of the event, the names of the speaker(s) giving the talk, the talk's title and abstract, and so on. Please note that as of this writing, the metadata archive is still a work in progress; some of the oldest events don't (yet) have all videos listed in the metadata archive. On top of the metadata archive, a few tools have been written to publish the video available on this site through a variety of platforms. - The Debian peertube instance was created in 2020, and mirrors the video content at . The relevant metadata from the metadata archive is added to the peertube metadata. - A rich client app was written using Angular and is available on . It allows searching on abstract and speaker per event. This tool does not require any server side (all logic is implemented on the client, the metadata is downloaded from a static JSON dump of the metadata archive) The following non-free services also contain official mirrors of the DebConf video content: - A YouTube mirror is available at
